Central Idea: Members of a family need each other.
First of all, visuals were shown to the students and they were asked about them. The teacher gave students time to think. The teacher tried to understand their prior knowledge in this way. Some of the students knew and said English names of the family members. Names were learned in English and they were revised. Short and simple sentences were made. All the students participated to these activities. The game named "Blindfolded" was played with the students in order to reinforce their knowledge. They tried to find the picture of the family member on the board that was called out. It was fun. Then, they watched and sang the song "Finger Family".
